The Music Tour of Europe will take you to places in Germany, France and Holland that are steeped in the history of music from folk to classical to contemporary. Visit music venues in Berlin and Hamburg made famous by bands such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Everly Brothers, Ray Charles, Lou Reed and many others. Enjoy live German folk music at a popular Hofbrauhaus and enjoy traditional German food and hospitality. In Holland we visit the Volendam region – get a glimpse of traditional Dutch dress & windmills and visit Alida Hoeve Cheese Farm. While in Amsterdam we enjoy dinner in a pub or venue that has live Dutch folk music. We travel to Maastricht, one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the southern Netherlands. While we are there, there is the opportunity to see an Andre Rieu concert (optional and TBC). In France we attend the Festival de Cornouaille music and dance event in Quimper in the heart of France’s Brittany region. Plus we visit Paris and explore numerous well known locations. This will be an exciting European music tour that explores the less travelled locations that will provide an insight to European music, architecture and history.

John Howie
John Howie's is passionate about his Music Tours and every tour is the result of a huge amount of thought and 'attention to detail'. He has been organising Music Tours since 1995, and his tours are full of travel/sightseeing 'gems' and unforgettable music highlights. In places like Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh & Glasgow (in Ireland and Scotland), and New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville & New York. John knows the best music venues to visit and the best performers to see.
John was a secondary school music teacher for 23 years (taught Kylie Minogue piano). He and his twin brother, Graeme, perform as The Howie Brothers. John has been leading successful music tours & music cruises since 1995. John Howie is an Australian musician who lives in Melbourne. He and his identical twin brother, Graeme, perform together as The Howie Brothers, a well-known country/easy listening vocal harmony recording act. John and Graeme were previously members of country band 1901 which, in the early ‘80s, won three Golden Guitars (including two Group of the Year awards) at the Australasian Country Music Awards in Tamworth. The Howie Brothers has released approximately 20 albums. John plays various instruments, including piano, drums, accordion, guitar, mandolin & ukulele. He is also a keen songwriter, and sometimes writes songs inspired by his Music Tours (e.g., Out in the Outback, I’d Never Been to Birdsville, and We’re Travellin’ Around New Zealand).
