The Bay of Islands Jazz & Blues Festival is one of New Zealand’s longest-running music festivals (almost 40 years). Featuring 30 bands and artists performing across multiple venues, over 3 days, the festival combines world-class live music with the relaxed atmosphere and spectacular scenery of the Bay of Islands. The festival normally features acts from New Zealand, Australia, Japan, the United States, and beyond. Venues are split between Paihia & Russell, with each location hosting multiple acts throughout the day & evening. Our tour provides weekend badges, which provide free access to all festival venues across the 3 days. Our tour also includes a weekend ferry pass – the short water crossings between Paihia and Russell another enjoyable part of the festival experience. 2026 festival bands/artists included: Texas Blues man Elizah Zane (USA), Minnie Marks (AUS), Chihiro & Route 14 Band (JPN), & NZ’s Nairobi Trio. There is a free shuttle bus between the various venues in Paihia.
